Associates at the softball game

With the sun beating down on the field, water perspiring faster than it could be taken in, and the ting of the ball hitting an aluminum bat, associates from Life Care Center of Sullivan, Missouri, participated in a familiar summer pastime.

On June 12, 2016, Whatever It Takes And Then Some took on a whole new meaning with the community’s first co-ed softball competition at the Campbell Chapman Softball Fields in Sullivan. With employees from department heads to dietary aides to transportation associates and therapists taking part, the facility had great participation both on the field and in the stands.

Even with a heat index of 102, Life Care Center of Sullivan’s team ended up beating Meramec Nursing Center 13-9. After the fun and competitiveness from both teams, associates are looking forward to meeting again on the diamond next year.

“It was very hot, but we had a great time and great support,” said one of the associates.
